Starting June 16, incoming high school students can attend the O’Dowd High School preparatory camp to learn what it’s like in a new environment. O’Dowd offers many classes in the summer camp, from classes such as geometry to things such as strength and conditioning for those looking to develop athletic ability.
The high school preparatory camp is not limited to just incoming O’Dowd students, as the camp accepts scholars from all around the Bay Area. The camp aims to sharpen these students’ skill sets and acclimate them to high school. The program spans until July 10, where students will choose their own schedule and classes throughout the summer.
In the camp, attendees will meet new people and bond with them over shared interests or classes, whilst those going to O’Dowd will learn about the teachers and their methods of teaching. Over the near one month span, those in the program are expected to learn as much as possible and step up to the responsibilities of which high school brings.
