Montera Middle School had a Pep Rally on Nov. 1 located in the gymnasium of the school. The fall sports that are participating in this year’s rally are Volleyball, Cross country, Flag football, Girls Flag football, and Futsal.
We interviewed 5 8th grade students that are going to either participate or watch the Pep Rally.
Student Ruby Wooliever is going to be representing the Cross country team for this fall season and is very excited about the Pep Rally.
“The Pep Rally is inspiring for students of all grades,.” Wooliever states.
Ms. Ligons is the one organizing the Pep Rally and the 6th graders are going to have it during 6th period while the 7th and 8th graders are going to have it during 8th period with both periods lasting 30 minutes each with an hour and a half interval between them.
Every year the Leadership group makes different customized posters with the name of the sport on it for a team to rip through as they run around the gym.
The order these sports are going in is Cross country first, the 3 Volleyball teams, Futsal, and then the girls and boys Flag Football teams to finish it.
Students Jenai Arnett and Phoebe Shank both state that “Pep Rallies are organized for athletes to show their talent to the school,.” and that they “give us all school spirit.”.
